Two worlds of construction counseling come together in the historic city of Boston for the Forum’s Fall 2012 Meeting. Looking at issues from both the inside and outside counsel perspective, our program will address hot-button issues for all. Inside and outside counsel can’t afford to miss it. The two day program precedes one of the world’s largest 2-day rowing events, the Head of the Charles Regatta.
Like the crews working together for the fastest times on the river, our program – Pulling Together for a Winning Strategy -- will focus on how both corporate counsel and outside counsel can work together for the best results of their clients. Exploring issues that keep corporate counsel up at night, and can lead to late-night calls to their outside counsel, our speakers will address cutting- edge topics on immigration law, electronic discovery, insurance, government contracting, dispute resolution, and legal ethics. Additionally, we will provide insight into the future of the construction industry through the eyes of leading construction economists. Our Thursday lunch speaker will bring the history of Boston architecture to life as he discusses the architects who shaped Boston and modern architectural practice. After the formal program ends mid-day Friday, participants will have the opportunity to either join Young Lawyers Division in helping to restore an island in Boston Harbor or participating in a separate half-day session co-sponsored by the ABA Government and Public Sector Law Division and focused on construction issues for local government entities and universities. In addition to the great education program, time has been allotted for a variety of networking events, including division activities, a diversity lunch, breakfast meetings, and the Welcome Reception at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
